iTextUploader Download
iTextUploader is free software, and it's released under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 2.
System requirements
iTextUploader 2.2.1 requires an iPhone with firmware 2.0 or greater.
Since iTextUploader has been developed using the unofficial toolchain (the one provided by iphone dev-team), it requires a jailbroken iPhone.
To jailbreak your iPhone, please follow one of these guides:
- For all 3G iPhones: jailbreak using Mac OSX or Windows
- First generation ("2G") iPhones with firmware 2.x: jailbreak (and eventually unlock) using Mac OSX or Windows
If you are still using firmware 1.x, we really suggest you to upgrade your iPhone to firmware 2.0 or greater, in order to use the most cutting-edge features of iTextUploader (and many more applications).
However, should you really don't want to upgrade, you can read on jailbreaking (and eventually unlocking)
your 1.1.3/1.1.4 iPhone here: guide for Mac OSX or Windows.
All the guides linked above are from iClarified.
If you wish to use automatic installation, then, you need also to have either Installer or Cydia installed in your phone. You should already have at least one installed if your iPhone has been jailbroken.
Download
The best way to install iTextUploader is getting it from Cydia or Installer.
Using Cydia
Thanks to BigBoss, iTextUploader is already available in Cydia in the Messaging category.
Users with firmware 2.0 and greater will find iTextUploader version 2.2.1; if you have firmware 1.1.3/1.1.4, you will find the old version 0.1b in Installer.
Using Installer
iTextUploader is available in the Messaging category (it is included in BigBoss' repositories). As for Cydia, if you are using firmware 2.0 you will find version 2.2.1; users with iPhone firmware 1.1.3/1.1.4 will find version 0.1b instead.
